The IDXpert™ is the result of an ongoing relationship with Brady in developing innovative cartridge-based labeling machines that can print labels, shrink-wrap sleeves, continuous tapes, and small signs. InForm created a universal printer frame and ribbon/label cartridge design that simplified operation. To address multiple user needs, the housings are configured in both alpha-numeric and QWERTY keyboard layouts.

Challenge
Our long-term relationship with Brady enabled this comprehensive development program to upsize the successful combined tape/ribbon cartridge developed earlier by the Brady/InForm team. We met all marketing specifications, manufacturing and durability requirements while achieving aggressive price goals.
Result
InForm designed a lightweight, ergonomic printer that fits comfortably in the user’s hand and can also sit securely on a desktop. It can print multiple fonts and standard electrical symbols. The intuitive user interface makes data entry simple without user training. A patented intelligent sensor system determines tape size and automatically formats the label.
