Challenge
InForm was asked to design and engineer a rugged, cost-effective environment that incorporated new technologies as well as standard tooling and manufacturing methods, so the product could be fabricated in various locations around the world. Operator comfort and efficiency were identified as the pivotal deciding factors for customer acceptance.
Result
The ergonomically-designed cab incorporates 360° visibility, providing a clear view of the deck area. The innovative pivoting seat allows for all monitoring and operations to be conducted from a seated position within the cab. User interfaces include a graphical user interface (GUI) to monitor machine status and high-visibility controls placed within easy reach. ISO international symbols and intuitive custom icons facilitated international acceptance.
