Challenge
To develop the form, features, mechanism and DFMA aspects of a completely new kind of combination padlock. Security and durability were must have requirements but key user-friendly features had to be incorporated to create a lock configuration “beyond the ordinary”.
Result
InForm's solution included an injection molded ABS housing and a die cast lock body encasing a patented, anti-rap security ball bearing lock system that is five times stronger than existing locks. Principal features include a unique dial orientation, easy to read graphics and ergonomic soft touch details to facilitate one-handed operation.
